Bardon, known as the leafy residential suburb of Brisbane is situated approximately 5 km to the north-west of Brisbane CBD. Nestled into the foothills of Mount Coot-tha has a population of 9,500 people in the 2016 census. The neighboring suburbs are Rainworth, Rosalie, Milton, Paddington, Auchenflower, Toowong and Ashgrove. Two popular roads in Bardon are Simpson Road and Macgregor Terrace.
Bardon was originally named Upper Paddington until it was renamed in 1925 by the Ithaca Town Council after Bardon, the villa built in 1863 by Joshua Jeays and named after Bardon Hill from his native England.
